How to get an Account
Step1: Get a pIE Account
Before you can gain access to the HPC systems at any of the DSRCs, you must first get an account on the Portal to the Information Environment (commonly referred to as a pIE account). If you do not yet have a pIE account, you can request one by following the instructions found at the CCAC Accounts Center.
Step 2: Provide Proof of Clearance
New applicants must provide proof of a security clearance or a National Agency Check (NAC). Contact the Facility Security Office (FSO) within your company or within the government organization for which you work and have your security clearance or National Agency Check sent to Navoceano Security in the form of a visit request. The Navoceano Security office would prefer to receive visit requests via JPAS. If your security office has access to JPAS, the following information must be included:
Naval Oceanographic Office
Attn: Navy DSRC
1002 Balch Blvd.
Stennis Space Center, MS 39522-5001
JPAS SMO Code: 623065
FAX: (228) 688-4881
PHONE: (228) 688-4161
DSN: 828-4161
POC: Your Navy DSRC Contact
Purpose: HPCMP DSRC Visit
Dates of Visit: 01 Oct 20XX - 30 Sep 20XX (see additional instructions below)
Additional Instructions for Dates of Visit
The HPCMP's fiscal year runs 1 OCT through 30 SEP. Visit requests are intended to cover either a portion of or an entire fiscal year. This means that to maintain account access, your visit request must be renewed annually before the beginning of the next fiscal year.
While visit requests may be sent at any time during the year, you must ensure that the correct dates are specified for the "Dates of Visit." For your initial visit request, the starting date should be the current date, and the ending date should not exceed 30 SEP of the same year. For visit request renewals, the start date should be 1 OCT of the current year, and the ending date should not exceed 30 SEP of the following year.
NOTE: Even if the end date provided on a visit request exceeds 30 SEP, the visit request will expire on 30 SEP.
Step 3: Contact your S/AAA
Your S/AAA will provide assistance throughout the account process. If you are unsure who you S/AAA is, contact require@hpcmo.hpc.mil. Once your S/AAA has received all required documentation, they will assign you to the appropriate subproject(s) and systems.
Step 4: Account Creation
Your account(s) will be created on the Navy DSRC systems, and you will be contacted by the Site Accounts Manager (SAM) when they are ready for login or if other approvals or forms are necessary.
